Etobicoke 381 Volleyball Club – Boys Rep Teams

Our Boys team that was so successful last year will compete this year in 15U. However, since we here a number of players that are interested in joining us that are year older we will form 16U team as well.

Practices Boys 15U (1997 and younger)

8:00-10:00PM Thursdays at Martin Grove CI (SE corner of Martin Grove and Eglinton)

Competition

Etobicoke 381 will compete in the Youth Indoor Volleyball program of Ontario Volleyball Association (OVA).Generally, teams will play in 4 tournaments during the year and the two-day Provincial Championships.

Boys 15U team will this year compete on National Championship.

Registration process starts with you filling the registration form.

Notifications

• You will have to register on etobicoke381Boys at YahooGroups.com.
• We will be using this email list for sending notifications. We had a case when practice was canceled at the last moment. It may happen again. Ideally, before going to practice you should check your email. You should also have Dejan’s cell phone handy (647…).
• Idea behind the email list is that it can be used to send mail to all members of the group.
• Keep in mind that if you simply reply, all people will get the message. That may be something that you want or not. If you have a question or message just for one person (such as coach), email him directly.
• Email list can be used both through email alone and through its Web application (on www.yahoogroups.com). More features will be available through web interface. For example:
  • you can get emails of other parents – for example to arrange for car polling
  • You can respond to a survey (i.e.. Coach may be interested in you availability for next practice, game or tournament).
• Although it is possible to be “Email Only” user, we strongly encourage you to register for Web access to the group as well. That will open other features of the group to you:
  • contact to other members
  • schedule
  • surveys
  • downloadable forms…
• I will send you invitation by email to join the list. Follow the instructions in the email to join.
• We created a video that describes a process of joining group without invitation
• To register without invitation:
  • Decide which email are you going to use (your regular email address)
  • Send email to: etobicoke381Boys-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
  • You will be asked to Register your existing email (it does not have to be Yahoo’s email) and create Yahoo email, but you will be able to later choose non-yahoo email as default email
• In both cases, moderator will have to approve you, so write a little note – so that I can be sure that you are coming from one of the players.
• Control
  • Yahoogroups allows you to control access to your email.
  • You will not get spammed.
  • You can decide how often do you receive messages (immediately or once a day).
  • Choose type of massages (all or just special announcements)
  • You can change email that messages will be sent to.
  • You can decide to stop receiving messages.

• Twitter – Unfortunately, some email systems put messages from Yahoogroups to junk folder, so Dejan is also using Etobicoke381 twitter account to send event notifications or last minute updates for Boys team and Club events. Please, follow Etobicoke381 on Twitter.
